  • Date and time at the time of access
  • Amount of data sent in bytes
  • Source/reference from which you reached the page

Processing is carried out in accordance with Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f GDPR on the basis of our legitimate interest in improving the stability and functionality of our website. The data will not be passed on or used in any other way. However, we reserve the right to check the server log files retrospectively if there are concrete indications of illegal use.

2.2 For security reasons and to protect the transmission of personal data and other confidential content (e.g., orders or inquiries to us), this website uses SSL or TLS encryption. You can recognize an encrypted connection by the string "https://" and the lock symbol in your browser line.

3) Hosting & Content Delivery Network

For the hosting of our website and the display of the page content, we use a provider that provides its services itself or through selected sub-contractors exclusively on servers within the European Union.

All data collected on our website is processed on these servers. We have concluded an order processing contract with the provider, which ensures the protection of the data of our site visitors and prohibits unauthorized disclosure to third parties.

4) Cookies

In order to make the visit to our website attractive and to enable the use of certain functions, we use cookies, i.e., small text files that are stored on your end device. Some of these cookies are automatically deleted after closing the browser (so-called "session cookies"), some of these cookies remain on your end device for longer and enable the saving of page settings (so-called "persistent cookies"). In the latter case, you can find the storage duration in the overview of the cookie settings of your web browser.

Insofar as personal data is also processed by individual cookies used by us, the processing is carried out in accordance with Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. b GDPR either for the execution of the contract, in accordance with Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. a GDPR in the case of consent given, or in accordance with Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f GDPR to safeguard our legitimate interests in the best possible functionality of the website and a customer-friendly and effective design of the site visit.

You can set your browser so that you are informed about the setting of cookies and decide individually about their acceptance or exclude the acceptance of cookies for certain cases or in general.

Please note that if cookies are not accepted, the functionality of our website may be limited.

5) Contacting Us

5.1 WhatsApp Business

We offer you the opportunity to contact us via the WhatsApp messaging service of WhatsApp Ireland Limited, 4 Grand Canal Square, Grand Canal Harbour, Dublin 2, Ireland. For this purpose, we use the so-called "Business Version" of WhatsApp.

If you contact us via WhatsApp on the occasion of a specific business transaction (for example, an order placed), we store and use the mobile phone number you use on WhatsApp and – if provided – your first and last name in accordance with Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. b. GDPR to process and answer your request. On the basis of the same legal basis, we may ask you via WhatsApp to provide further data (order number, customer number, address or email address) in order to be able to assign your request to a specific process.

If you use our WhatsApp contact for general inquiries (e.g., about the range of services, availability or our website), we store and use the mobile phone number you use on WhatsApp and – if provided – your first and last name in accordance with Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f GDPR on the basis of our legitimate interest in the efficient and timely provision of the requested information.

Your data will only be used to answer your request via WhatsApp. It will not be passed on to third parties.

Please note that WhatsApp Business receives access to the address book of the mobile device we use for this purpose and automatically transmits phone numbers stored in the address book to a server of the parent company Meta Platforms Inc. in the USA. For the operation of our WhatsApp Business account, we use a mobile device in whose address book only the WhatsApp contact details of those users are stored who have also contacted us via WhatsApp.

This ensures that every person whose WhatsApp contact details are stored in our address book has already consented to the transmission of their WhatsApp phone number from the address books of their chat contacts in accordance with Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. a GDPR when using the app for the first time on their device by accepting the WhatsApp terms of use. A transmission of data of such users who do not use WhatsApp and/or have not contacted us via WhatsApp is thus excluded.

The purpose and scope of the data collection and the further processing and use of the data by WhatsApp as well as your rights and setting options for protecting your privacy can be found in WhatsApp's data protection information: https://www.whatsapp.com/legal/?eea=1#privacy-policy

In the context of the above-mentioned processing, data may be transferred to servers of Meta Platforms Inc. in the USA. For data transfers to the USA, the provider has joined the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, which ensures compliance with the European level of data protection on the basis of an adequacy decision by the European Commission.

5.2 In the context of contacting us (e.g., via contact form or email), personal data is processed – exclusively for the purpose of processing and answering your request and only to the extent necessary for this. The legal basis for the processing of this data is our legitimate interest in answering your request in accordance with Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f GDPR. If your contact aims at a contract, the additional legal basis for the processing is Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. b GDPR. Your data will be deleted if it can be inferred from the circumstances that the matter in question has been finally clarified and provided that there are no statutory retention obligations to the contrary.

6) Data Processing When Opening a Customer Account

In accordance with Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. b GDPR, personal data will continue to be collected and processed to the extent necessary if you provide it to us when opening a customer account. Which data is required for opening an account can be found in the input mask of the corresponding form on our website.

Deletion of your customer account is possible at any time and can be done by sending a message to the above-mentioned address of the controller. After deletion of your customer account, your data will be deleted, provided that all contracts concluded through it have been fully processed, no statutory retention periods prevent this and there is no legitimate interest on our part in further storage.

7) Data Processing for Order Fulfillment

7.1 Insofar as necessary for the execution of the contract for delivery and payment purposes, the personal data collected by us will be passed on to the commissioned transport company and the commissioned credit institution in accordance with Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. b GDPR.

Insofar as we owe you updates for goods with digital elements or for digital products on the basis of a corresponding contract, we process the contact data (name, address, email address) transmitted by you when ordering in order to inform you personally about upcoming updates within the legally prescribed period via a suitable communication channel (e.g., by post or email) within the framework of our statutory information obligations in accordance with Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. c GDPR. 7.3 Use of Payment Service Providers (Payment Services)

- Apple Pay
If you choose the payment method "Apple Pay" from Apple Distribution International (Apple), Hollyhill Industrial Estate, Hollyhill, Cork, Ireland, the payment will be processed via the "Apple Pay" function of your end device operated with iOS, watchOS or macOS by charging a payment card stored with "Apple Pay". Apple Pay uses security functions integrated into the hardware and software of your device to protect your transactions. For the release of a payment, the entry of a code previously defined by you as well as verification by means of the "Face ID" or "Touch ID" function of your end device is required.

For the purpose of payment processing, the information you provided during the ordering process, together with the information about your order, is passed on to Apple in encrypted form. Apple then encrypts this data again with a developer-specific key before the data is transmitted to the payment service provider of the payment card stored in Apple Pay to carry out the payment. The encryption ensures that only the website through which the purchase was made can access the payment data. After the payment has been made, Apple sends your device account number and a transaction-specific, dynamic security code to the source website to confirm the success of the payment.

Insofar as personal data is processed in the described transmissions, the processing is carried out exclusively for the purpose of payment processing in accordance with Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. b GDPR.

Apple keeps anonymized transaction data, including the approximate purchase amount, the approximate date and time, and whether the transaction was successfully completed. Anonymization completely excludes a personal reference. Apple uses the anonymized data to improve "Apple Pay" and other Apple products and services.

If you use Apple Pay on the iPhone or Apple Watch to complete a purchase you made via Safari on the Mac, the Mac and the authorization device communicate via an encrypted channel on the Apple servers. Apple does not process or store any of this information in a format that can identify you. You can disable the ability to use Apple Pay on your Mac in the settings of your iPhone. Go to "Wallet & Apple Pay" and disable "Allow payments on Mac".

Further information on data protection at Apple Pay can be found at the following internet address: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT203027

- Google Pay
If you choose the payment method "Google Pay" from Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, 4 Barrow St, Dublin, D04 E5W5, Ireland ("Google"), the payment will be processed via the "Google Pay" application of your mobile device operated with at least Android 4.4 ("KitKat") and having an NFC function by charging a payment card stored with Google Pay or a payment system verified there (e.g., PayPal). For the release of a payment via Google Pay in an amount of more than €25, the prior unlocking of your mobile device by the respective verification measure set up (e.g., facial recognition, password, fingerprint or pattern) is required.

For the purpose of payment processing, the information you provided during the ordering process, together with the information about your order, is passed on to Google. Google then transmits your payment information stored in Google Pay in the form of a uniquely assigned transaction number to the source website, with which a payment made is verified. This transaction number does not contain any information about the real payment data of your payment methods stored with Google Pay, but is created and transmitted as a uniquely valid numerical token. For all transactions via Google Pay, Google acts merely as an intermediary for processing the payment process. The transaction is carried out exclusively in the relationship between you and the source website by charging the payment method stored with Google Pay.

Insofar as personal data is processed in the described transmissions, the processing is carried out exclusively for the purpose of payment processing in accordance with Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. b GDPR.

Google reserves the right to collect, store and evaluate certain transaction-specific information for each transaction made via Google Pay. This includes the date, time and amount of the transaction, merchant location and description, a description of the purchased goods or services provided by the merchant, photos you have attached to the transaction, the name and email address of the seller and buyer or the sender and recipient, the payment method used, your description of the reason for the transaction and, if applicable, the offer associated with the transaction.

According to Google, this processing is carried out exclusively in accordance with Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f GDPR on the basis of the legitimate interest in proper accounting, verification of transaction data and optimization and functional maintenance of the Google Pay service.

Google also reserves the right to combine the processed transaction data with further information collected and stored by Google when using other Google services.

The terms of use of Google Pay can be found here: https://payments.google.com/payments/apis-secure/u/0/get_legal_document?ldo=0&ldt=googlepaytos&ldl=en

If you select a payment method of the provider where you pay in advance, your payment data provided during the ordering process (including name, address, bank and payment card information, currency and transaction number) as well as information about the content of your order will be passed on to the provider in accordance with Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. b GDPR. Your data will be passed on in this case exclusively for the purpose of payment processing with the provider and only to the extent necessary for this.

If you select a payment method where we pay in advance, you will also be asked to provide certain personal data (first and last name, street, house number, zip code, city, date of birth, email address, telephone number, if applicable data on an alternative payment method) during the ordering process.

In order to safeguard our legitimate interest in determining your solvency in such cases, this data will be forwarded by us to the provider in accordance with Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f GDPR for the purpose of a credit check. The provider checks on the basis of the personal data provided by you as well as other data (such as shopping cart, invoice amount, order history, payment experience) whether the payment option selected by you can be granted with regard to payment and/or default risks.

The credit report can contain probability values (so-called score values). Insofar as score values flow into the result of the credit report, they have their basis in a scientifically recognized mathematical-statistical procedure. Address data, among other things, but not exclusively, flows into the calculation of the score values.

You can object to this processing of your data at any time by sending a message to us or to the provider. However, the provider may still be entitled to process your personal data if this is necessary for contractual payment processing.

- PayPal Checkout

PayPal reserves the right to carry out a credit check for the payment methods credit card via PayPal, direct debit via PayPal or – if offered – "Pay Later" via PayPal. For this purpose, your payment data may be passed on to credit agencies in accordance with Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f GDPR on the basis of PayPal's legitimate interest in determining your solvency. PayPal uses the result of the credit check with regard to the statistical probability of payment default for the purpose of deciding on the provision of the respective payment method. The credit report can contain probability values (so-called score values). Insofar as score values flow into the result of the credit report, they have their basis in a scientifically recognized mathematical-statistical procedure. Address data, among other things, but not exclusively, flows into the calculation of the score values. You can object to this processing of your data at any time by sending a message to PayPal. However, PayPal may still be entitled to process your personal data if this is necessary for contractual payment processing.

The legal basis is Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. b GDPR in each case. In this case, RatePay carries out an identity and credit check in its own name to determine solvency in accordance with the principle already mentioned above and passes on your payment data to credit agencies on the basis of the legitimate interest in determining solvency in accordance with Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f GDPR. A list of the credit agencies that Ratepay can use can be found here: https://www.ratepay.com/legal-payment-creditagencies/

When using the payment method of a local third-party provider, your payment data will first be passed on to PayPal in accordance with Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. b GDPR for preparation of the payment. 8) Web Analysis Services

8.1 Google Analytics 4

This website uses Google Analytics 4, a web analysis service of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, 4 Barrow St, Dublin, D04 E5W5, Ireland ("Google"), which enables an analysis of your use of our website.

By default, no cookies are used by Google Analytics 4 when visiting the website, unless you expressly agree to cookies. Instead, information about your usage behavior is collected and processed by so-called pings (small data packets sent to the host of an end device). The scope of this information also includes your IP address, which is however shortened by Google by the last digits in order to exclude a direct personal reference.

The information is transmitted to Google servers and processed there. Transfers to Google LLC based in the USA are also possible.

Google uses the collected information on our behalf to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity for us and to provide other services related to website use and internet use. The shortened IP address transmitted by your browser within the framework of Google Analytics is not merged with other data from Google. The data collected within the framework of the use of Google Analytics 4 is stored for a period of two months and then deleted.

All processing described above, including the transmission of data by "pings" and the possible setting of Google Analytics cookies, only takes place if you have given us your express consent in accordance with Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. a GDPR.

Without your consent, the use of Google Analytics 4 will not take place during your site visit. You can revoke your consent at any time with effect for the future. To exercise your right of withdrawal, please deactivate this service via the "Cookie Consent Tool" provided on the website.

We have concluded an order processing contract with Google, which ensures the protection of the data of our site visitors and prohibits unauthorized disclosure to third parties.

Further legal information on Google Analytics 4 can be found at https://business.safety.google/intl/en/privacy/, https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=en&gl=en and at https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites

Demographic Characteristics
Google Analytics 4 uses the special function "demographic characteristics" and can use it to create statistics that make statements about the age, gender and interests of site visitors. This is done by analyzing advertising and information from third-party providers. This allows target groups for marketing activities to be identified. However, the collected data cannot be assigned to a specific person and is deleted after storage for a period of two months.

Google Signals
As an extension to Google Analytics 4, Google Signals can be used on this website to have cross-device reports created. If you have activated personalized ads and linked your devices to your Google account, Google can, subject to your consent to the use of Google Analytics in accordance with Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. a GDPR, analyze your usage behavior across devices and create database models, including cross-device conversions. We do not receive any personal data from Google, only statistics. If you want to stop the cross-device analysis, you can deactivate the "Personalized Advertising" function in the settings of your Google account. Follow the instructions on this page: https://support.google.com/My-Ad-Center-Help/answer/12155764?hl=en

8.2 Google Tag Manager

This website uses the "Google Tag Manager", a service of the following provider: Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, 4 Barrow St, Dublin, D04 E5W5, Ireland (hereinafter: "Google").

The Google Tag Manager provides a technical platform to bundle other web services and software programs by means of so-called "tags" (markings) and to control them via a central user interface. The Google Tag Manager itself does not store cookies and does not carry out independent data analysis. However, when the page is called up, your IP address is transmitted to Google by the Google Tag Manager and may be stored there. A transmission to servers of Google LLC. in the USA is also possible.

This processing is only carried out if you have given us your express consent in accordance with Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. a GDPR. Without this consent, the use of Google Tag Manager will not take place during your site visit. You can revoke your consent at any time with effect for the future. To exercise your withdrawal, please deactivate this service in the "Cookie Consent Tool" provided on the website.

We have concluded an order processing contract with the provider, which ensures the protection of the data of our site visitors and prohibits unauthorized disclosure to third parties.

For data transfers to the USA, the provider has joined the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, which ensures compliance with the European level of data protection on the basis of an adequacy decision by the European Commission.

9) Site Functionalities

9.1 Facebook Plugins

Plugins of the social network of the following provider are used on our website: Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd., 4 Grand Canal Square, Grand Canal Harbour, Dublin 2, Ireland.

These plugins enable direct interactions with content on the social network. In order to increase the protection of your data when visiting our website, the plugins are initially integrated into the page in a deactivated state by means of a so-called "2-click" or "Shariff" solution. This integration ensures that when a page of our website that contains such plugins is called up, no connection is yet established with the provider's servers.

Only when you activate the plugins and thus give your consent to the data transmission in accordance with Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. a GDPR, does your browser establish a direct connection to the provider's servers. In this case, regardless of a login to an existing user profile, information about your end device used (including your IP address), your browser and your page history is transmitted to the provider to a certain extent and processed there if necessary.

If you are logged into an existing user profile on the provider's social network, information about interactions carried out via the plugins is also published there and displayed to your contacts. You can revoke your consent at any time by deactivating the activated plugin by clicking it again. However, the withdrawal has no influence on the data that has already been transmitted to the provider.

Data can also be transmitted to: Meta Platforms Inc., USA.

When visiting this page, a direct connection can be established between your browser and the provider's servers via this login function, even if you do not have an account with the provider or are not logged into one. The provider thereby receives the information that you have visited our page. The information collected in this respect (including your IP address if applicable) is transmitted by your browser directly to a server of the provider and stored there. However, the information is not used to identify you personally and is not passed on to third parties.

These data processing operations are carried out in accordance with Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f GDPR on the basis of our legitimate interest in a user-friendly and interactive design of our online presence.

If you press the login button to register on our website with the data of your account with the provider, the provider transmits the general and publicly accessible information stored in your account (user ID, name, address, email address, age and gender) to us exclusively on the basis of your express consent in accordance with Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. a GDPR.

We store and use the data transmitted by the provider to set up a user account with the necessary data (salutation, first name, last name, address data, country, email address, date of birth), provided you have released these to the provider. Conversely, on the basis of your consent, data (e.g., information about your surfing or purchasing behavior) can be transmitted by us to your account with the provider.

The consent given can be revoked at any time with effect for the future towards us.

For data transfers to the USA, the provider has joined the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, which ensures compliance with the European level of data protection on the basis of an adequacy decision by the European Commission.

The information collected in this respect (including your IP address if applicable) is transmitted by your browser directly to a server of the provider and stored there.
