Stop using and charging the device. Do not ship it with an ordinary parcel label. Contact us first to agree a suitable return route. In case of smoke, fire or immediate danger, keep your distance and call the fire service on 112.
Before returning an item
Tell us whether a battery is damaged or whether you wish to return a separate battery. Loose batteries, devices with integrated batteries and defective batteries can be subject to different transport rules. A return label alone does not confirm that a battery may be shipped.
Prepare intact devices safely
- Switch the device off completely and prevent accidental activation.
- Use sturdy outer packaging and sufficient cushioning. The device and accessories must not move freely inside.
- Protect exposed battery terminals against short circuits. Do not open integrated batteries or remove them by force.
- Follow the carrier requirements we provide for your return. Markings depend on the specific contents and route.
What must not go in a standard parcel
Damaged, defective or recalled lithium batteries and devices containing them may be excluded from ordinary parcel transport. This also applies if the battery remains in the device. Agree the transport of batteries for disposal in advance.
Returns and disposal
Batteries and electrical equipment must not go in household waste. See electrical equipment returns and disposal for collection points, data erasure and registration information.
